ZIMBABWE
Tanatswa Leslie Chiwanza attended Highlands Primary School and did his high school at Saint Albert’s High School in the Centenary district. His father passed away in 2008 when he was only 11 years old and was only left with his young brother and his mother.
Life was tough then but through the hard work of her mother, he pushed through high school and managed to scoop 6As and 4Bs at A’level and 14 points in Sciences at A’level.
Due to financial constraints, his mother being a single parent and a teacher with two kids to put through school, he couldn’t finish his Electrical Engineering Degree at the University of Zimbabwe. However as he searched for a way out, he got a job to work at a logistics company as an assistant and was promoted to operations manager in a space of 5 months from when he started working there. He has been able to provide for his family and take his brother to school.
