Rhoda Owusu Ntim

Rhoda Owusu Ntim is a research scientist, microbiologist, and health advocate. She is a Ghanaian who is an alumnus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, with a background in Biological Sciences and Microbiology.

Rhoda has a long career in infectious diseases research. In her pursuit, of long-lasting solutions for health systems strengthening, she investigated lesions transmission, tsetse fly bite, and malaria. She campaigned for increased funding for malaria in partnership with HFFG, WACI Health, and RESULTS in the UK as a youth leader for health. She also participated in the Health Literacy Leadership Programme (HLLP) by the West African Institute of Public Health.

Currently, she is part of the COVID19 testing team at Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) where she tests for the SarsCov2 virus and has a featured article on COVID19: A New Dawn for My Community among others.

Rhoda believes the key to Africa’s problems lies in a strong health system hence much focus should be given to it. Aside from research, she loves community engagement on issues pertaining to health as well as reading and pep talks.
