Philip Afran Gaisie has over 10 years of professional and volunteer experience in NGO Management, Community Development, Mines Action, and Training and Facilitation. He believes that the world can be a better place if young people dedicate their time, energy, and resources to serving their communities.

He has worked on projects with organisations such as the British Council, Confederation of African Football (CAF), Unilever, FCDO’s International Citizen Service (ICS), Mines Advisory Group, International Society of Hypertension, GIZ/GGC, Shelter Center-Switzerland, TCDTurkey, etc.

Philip holds a Master’s in International Development Studies, specializing in NGO and Community Development and Planning. He is also an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport International (CILT).

His project was adjudged the best during the 2020 International Students Festival in Harkat (Iran). He was an SDG 11 nominee for the 2020 Global FIGHR Peace Prize.

Philip is an alumna of the YALI-RLC and ICS programs, a KECTIL and FIGHR Fellow.

Currently, Philip is the Executive Assistant with the International Institute for Human Security (IIHS) and the African Representative/Member of the Youth Advisory Board of the International Association of Volunteer Experience (IAVE). In addition, he is an Operations Co-lead with Young at Heart-Ghana.
