THE GAMBIA

I am an auto-mechanic Technician. The Executive director of FitaFaal. FitaFaal is a digital market platform that connects the automotive industry to technicians and the general public that is struggling to make meaningful connections in The Gambia. FitaFaal also deals with the maintenance and repairing of Vehicles.

I also Founded ClockTvet Foundation. ClockTvet is a youth-led foundation that advocates and trains young people especially females on Technical and Vocational Skills. I studied Auto-mechanic engineering at SOS Hermann Gmeiner Vocational Training Centre.

According to research done by the Gambia Labor Department, only 3% of women are in the skills sector market. This has motivated Me to choose this career as a female auto mechanic engineer because She wants to break the stereotype that females should not be in a male-dominated sector.

I am the country ambassador of Women In Tech. An alumna of AU/CIFFA and Alumna of Mandela Washington Fellowship, I was named 100 of the most influential female engineers in Africa. A mentor to young women and a qualified Automobile Technician. Over the past four (4) years Ida has become a sort of Automotive diagnostics specialist. I am industrious and energetic with a can-do attitude and focus.
