BRIEF OF SUBMITTED SOLUTION

My projects mainly focus on the agriculture and fisheries sector which was greatly affected by the pandemic. According to statics Fish is the preferred source of animal protein in Ghana and is a central part of Ghanaian cuisine.
Providing approximately 60 percent of the animal protein consumed in the Ghanaian diet, Ghana consumes a million tonnes of fish a year, but can only supply between 400,000 and 420,000 tonnes per annum that is to say Ghana currently imports 60 percent of local fish requirements annually, with this said ill like to postulate that due to the high demand fishermen, Fish stocks are overexploited, marine fisheries are in terminal decline from intense fishing pressure by offshore trawlers, uncontrolled artisanal beach seining and harvesting of juveniles from lagoons. The Volta Lake, source of most of the harvest from inland fisheries, is also showing signs of overfishing, also there was a drastic decrease in patronage of fishes due to the closure of puplicly used spaces like restaurants.
My project seeks to first address the supply demand challenge in an innovative way that is to say redesign the inland ponds to suit large scale fish farming while saving a lot of land space,  it also would continue to address the issues of crowded cage systems and help curb the infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus (ISKNV) in tilapia and going further, relieving our water bodies off excessive fishing .
My project also seeks to help preserve fish and other agro produce without freezing keeping the produce fresh for a good deal of a time and with advances may be for a very long time.
