Francis Ametepey is the Youth Engagement and Advocacy Officer at Youth Advocates Ghana, a youth-led non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Ghana and a member of African Youth SDGs Summit Secretariat, the largest pan-African platform that brings duty bearers and right holders together to reaffirm actions towards sustainable development on the continent of Africa.

Over the past 4 years, Francis has committed to utilize the power of social media to raise awareness, educate and inform to hold leaders accountable to the promise of the Global Goals.

He serves as the Majority Leader for the Eastern Regional Youth Parliament under the auspices of the National Youth Authority of Ghana. In addition, he is the President of the Ghana Students Accountability Network, a student movement championing student’s inclusion in development discourse in Ghana.

He is a network member for Restless Development Accountability Advocates – which aims to design and implement a national monitoring framework to hold government accountable in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal from 2015.

Francis is an active member of Open Government Youth Collective, a global youth wing for the Open Government Partnership, a multilateral initiative that aims to secure concrete commitments from national and sub-national government to promote Open government, empower citizens, fight corruption and harness new technologies to strengthen governance.

As a Youth champion for Pan-African Voice Africa`s Future African initiative, Mr Ametepey  mobilized Ghanaian youth through the post MDGs 2015 consultation process to generate and consolidate more than 130,000 youth voices across Africa into the African Common Position paper.
