THE GAMBIA
Fanta Darboe is a gender and environmental activist working with the Young Volunteers for the Environment- The Gambia. She is an industrious young lady who was born and raised in a village called Mandinaba, Kombo East District, West Coast Region, The Gambia.
Fanta has gone through life-changing educational training starting from the earliest stages of her life which fundamentally led to her productivity and assertive contribution as highly evidenced by her personality today. She has more than 5 years of working experience with national and international development programs with communities, youth, and women. She has proven expertise in developing and maintaining effective project and program management.
Fanta has a certificate in gender and development, Youth Development Studies, Gender and Sexual Reproductive, Knowledge, Management in Community Health Programme and Adaptation and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in development studies at the University of The Gambia.
She is a trainer, MC, dramatist, play writer, and presenter. She is presently the Gender Focal Person (KEYCDA board) and a speaker to the Kombo East Youths and Children Development Alliance (KEYCDA), Vice President to the Amnesty Brikama Local Group (VP-ABLG), Gender and Health Minster University of The Gambia School of Arts and Sciences Female Representative Kombo East District Red Cross Link
