BRIEF OF SUBMITTED SOLUTION

Going into plantain farming to curb the problem of unemployment. Plantain farming is very lucrative since eating plantain is being prescribed for diabetes patients. Plantain is a staple food consumed by everyone in Africa. Plantain doesn’t have the stress of replanting and tilling land every year. It multiplies every year. The youths who have a passion for agriculture can sell plantain raw or process it into plantain flour to make more money. Processing of plantain into plantain flour requires business capital. Acquisition of machinery and running costs requires some amount of capital. But one can start with planting the suckers and subsequent selling of the harvested plantain so as to save up some amount of money for the mass production of plantain flour. Starting a plantain farm doesn’t require a huge sum of capital. Although getting some amount of money to start will actually go a long way in having a large plantation and by so doing, one will wave goodbye to poverty.
