Asimawu Tahiru is a student of the University for Development Studies studying Basic Education. She is a youth leader for Global Partnership for Education in Ghana (GPE) and has in-depth knowledge and work experience in social work, specifically youth development and reproductive health education, facilitation skills, and reporting.

Asimawu is a founder of Young Women for Change. Due to her keen interest in social entrepreneurship, she established Asmi Ultimate Care an initiative that focuses on empowering young people to produce soap and hair products.

She is also a CAMFED beneficiary, and a CAMFED Association member (CAMA), where she was trained as a Learner Guide Facilitator to lead a session in urban and rural community schools.

During her internship days at the Create Change, she delivered a girls’ leadership program in 10 senior high schools in the Northern Region. Asimawu is self-motivated, ready to learn and work in a team with other vibrant young people, to share and impart knowledge to the less privileged to build back better.
