BRIEF OF SUBMITTED SOLUTION


The Youth Development Academy aims to support the education and skills development of young people (in particular young girls/women) by creating greater access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

This is done by enhancing the leadership skills and professional development of young people through Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA) in youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and skills training, internship placements, mentorship and community actions that empowers 15,000 young people(in particular women and girls) in selected districts in Ghana to combat SGBV, respond to sexual and reproductive health challenges and promote youth empowerment in Ghana


The academy through in its initial stages selects students in three tertiary institutions: The University for Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), and The University of Ghana (UG)

Students go through a year of professional development through skills training, internships, professional exchanges, develop and implement community action projects that improves the development outcomes of other young people
