BRIEF OF SUBMITTED SOLUTION

Telemedicine is simply the practice of caring for patients remotely when the healthcare provider and patient are not physically present with each other. With the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in 2019, there has arisen a need to minimize congestion and overcrowding in the hospital. It is also necessary to reduce physical contact between healthcare providers and their patients. We serve as an intermediary between the patients and their healthcare providers, helping to provide avenues where patients book appointments online. We arrange for their check-up and diagnosis and help to provide proper medication for them, from the comfort of their homes. Modern technology has enabled doctors to consult patients by using HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing tools.
We are launching a mobile App for this purpose, connecting healthcare providers with their patients.
In a country where there is a shortage of healthcare providers, (Nigeria has 1 doctor for 20,000 people) there is a need to leverage technological advancement to attend to the patients.
